A Springfield woman has died from injuries sustained in a two vehicle accident that occured Tuesday, December 5 between Auburn and Chatham. According to Cinda Edwards, Sangamon County Coroner, 73 year old Irinda Gregory died at 2:47pm Wednesday in Memorial Medical Center.  Read more...

A Hillsboro man was arrested Thursday after allegedly stabbing a man in a downtown apartment. Virden Woman Injured

A Virden women was one of three people inured in a two vehicle crash between Auburn and Chatham on Tuesday. According to Illinois State Police, 65 year old Teresa Gray of Virden was driving a 2004 Ford northbound on IL Rt. 4, north of Alpha Road when the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway at approximately 5:10pm.  Read more...

Staunton Sisters Killed in Crash on I-55

Two sisters are dead and 12 others were injured in an eight-vehicle accident on Interstate 55 Tuesday evening.
