Seely Appointed as New Hospital CEO

On Wednesday, HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield announced the appointment of Kevin Seely as President and CEO. He replaces past president and CEO, Patti Fischer, who serves as Chief Operating Officer of HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield. He will begin his new position on December 3.  Read more...


CAH Auxiliary Medical Scholarship

For the last two years, the Carlinville Area Hospital Auxiliary has awarded $1,000 scholarships to a Macoupin County high school graduate who intends to pursue a career in the medical field. Two Dead in Witt Structure Fire Tuesday

Two people were pronounced dead after a structure fire in Witt was extinguished early Tuesday morning. Charles Shelton, 72, and Deborah Warren, 59, were pronounced dead by Montgomery County Coroner Randy Leetham at a residence on North 3rd Street in Witt. EMA Holds Search and Rescue Training

On October 5, The Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office sponsored a three hour ground search and rescue training event with the Illinois Search and Rescue Council. One person was killed and four children were injured during a traffic accident on I-55 near Springfield Sunday evening.
