(Witt)--A 33 year old Witt man was arrested and faces various drug related charges after an traffic stop Sunday morning at the Route 185 and Coffeen Road intersection. 05/13/2008 - Belleville Man Plead Guilty To Residential Burglary
(Hillsboro)--A Belleville man pled guilty Friday in Montgomery County Court to residential burglary. Michael Hansson was the third and final codefendant to receive a sentence for a burglary at a Hillsboro residence in October of 2007. 05/13/2008 - Evans Sentenced to Six Years In The Department of Corrections
(Hillsboro)--A 32 year old Barnett woman was sentenced Friday to six years in the Department of Corrections on four seperate counts of delivery of cocaine. Melissa Evans was arrested in November of 2007 and charged with three counts of delivering cocaine after two deliveries took place in a Litchfield hotel.  Read more...

A Palmyra man was fatally injured while he was helping work on a pickup truck Sunday night in Plainview. According to Macoupin County Deputy Coroner Brad Targhetta, 57 year old Eddie Adams was helping a friend and his son work on a pickup truck when the teenager got in the truck and started it.  Read more...
05/10/2008 - One Person Injured In An Accident Near Ohlman
(Ohlman)--One person was injured in a single vehicle accident Wednesday night west of Ohlman. According to Illinois State Police, a car driven by sixteen year old Michael Beatty of Taylor Springs was westbound on Route 16 when he ran off the road. 05/09/2008 - Carlinville Man Involved In A Roll Over Accident Near Litchfield
(Litchfield)--A Carlinville man was involved in a single vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon near Litchfield. According to Illinois State Police, a pickup driven by 35 year old Christopher Gibbel was westbound on East 2nd Road, when he lost control on the wet road. 05/08/2008 - Bald Eagles Nesting in Coffeen
(Coffeen)--For the second consecutive year a family of bald eagles is nesting in a Southern Illinois Wildlife Area. The Illinois Department of Natural Resources says the eagles are raising two eaglets at the Coffeen Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area. The young birds are expected to begin flying in the next couple of weeks.  Read more...

A Girard man was uninjured in a roll over accident Wednesday morning west of Girard.
